City of Cairo

The city hosts the Great Southern Antique Car Rally held every May, which features 100 of the world's most expensive antique cars. The Cairo Antique Auto Museum features antique cars from every decade of the 1900s, along with Matchbox cars, antique bicycles and other collectibles.

According to 2000 Census, the City of Cairo had a population of 9,239 persons. Between 1990 and 2000, the city experienced a population increase of 2.3%, compared to the state growth during this period of 26.4%.
